Akwaaba Gallery is a hidden Newark gem located in the historic Fairmont neighborhood. The gallery features diverse and eclectic contemporary works of art in various mediums. Akwaaba's mission is to engage the community and public with exhibitions featuring emerging local, regional, national and international artists
Since 1992 Source of Knowledge has been serving the community of Newark, NJ. What began as a bookstore has evolved into a community center that centers Black art, Black literature, culture, and community. We create space for young people to discover themselves amongst our shelves, for students to dig deeper into Radical Black thought and for local Newark artist to gather in community and love.
Plants & Poets Cafe is a Vegan cafe that is located at 505 Clinton Avenue, Newark NJ. Not only does it specialize in serving delicious healthy vegan dishes, but it is a creative art hub for local artists.
